Home Up

Chris started his career in the rental industry in the early Eighties with US Rentals for one year as Yard Man and two years as an Assistant Manager.  After one year in Sales at Arise Equipment in San Diego, Chris landed at American Hi-Lift and found a home.

He spent about seven years in the field as a field sales rep and then moved into Operations.  Chris ran the four Southern California stores until 1996 when AHL was acquired by Prime Equipment Rentals.

At Prime, Chris was named Director of Sales and was part of a team that grew Prime's Western Region from it's eight Southern California locations to 42 locations in just 24 months.  As Director of Sales, Chris ran the Sales departments in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and Utah for about five years.

In January of 2001, Prime merged with it's sister company, Rental Service Corporation where Chris' duties grew to cover RSC's seven Western states.

In February of 2002, he resigned from the job that he'd had for 18 years to start Hawkeye Equipment Rentals with his partner, Neal Dawson.
